Aerial problems !

Hi, My arial is stuck in the up position !

You can hear the motor going as usual, but it just sits there !!

Its a J Spec with standard aerial.

Anybody have any ideas before I take it to Sextons ??

Sounds like the end of the plastic toothed strip has broken off.

£25 or so from Toyota for a new aerial insert, then half an hour or so to replace it. Not difficult (but a bit messy because the old one will be covered in grease).

Just had the same problem on mine. Got the replacement mast from Toyota, which costs approx £30.94+VAT, part no is T86337-14411.

Had to remove the old mast and also take apart the motorised unit to remove the plastic-bit which is usually attached to the aerial as this had snapped off.

Was quite straight forward, but removing the plastic part was messy due to the excessive amount of grease they use in the motorise unit.
