I am shortly going to be getting the emanage setup with the E01 profec controller. Am i right in saying that you can use this as a boost controller aswell?

:thanks:

The E-01 is a boost controller first and foremost...it can also edit the eManage.

So i presume that you must wire a vac pipe to the emanage unit then or does it go to the E01?

Both I believe...you many need to T it off. All BC's need a vac line in and the eManage has it's 3bar sensor.
Not seen an E01 though to comment further.

Thanks mate.

Just wasnt to sure what extra bits i would need to buy.

Alex on the back of the blitz turbo timer there is a very small pipe for connecting to a vac line. Do you know of anywhere that does adaptors for that size pipe to a bigger one. I already have the vac line there so could 'T' off that?

Thanks

If it's that fairly tough 2mm diameter black pipe stuff then it's a bit small for a normal t piece. I would hve to hunt around my local auto parts places.

TBH I think you'd be better off t-ing off from the engine bay.

Also just to check - have you ordered the 3bar GReddy sensor for the eManage? You will need it. + the fueling harness + the ignition harness + the support tool.

The E-01 will come with it's own fittings for all it needs as it has to be sold ready to go on a car with an eManage.

.

No you won't, the Profec E01 comes with the pressure sensor. You need a cable that connects the E01 control unit to the Emanage. You also don't need the support tool if you are planning on using the E01 to configure the Emanage.

Edit to add : Note that the vac hose for the e-01 is only about 2 feet long and it connects to the e-01's pressure sensor under the bonnent. The thin data cable from this sensor is what then goes to the e-01 module inside the car and the cable from the e-01 module passes the data on to the e-Manage.

Ahh I see...thanks for that - didn't know the E-01 came with it's own...I mentioned the support tool incase he wants it setup via a laptop first and then to just tweak it at a later date with the E-01.

Sorry Alex, I didn't realise you had replied already. I've just edited my post with some more info that might help Smarty.

Greddy make 2 versions of the E-01, the cheaper one is just a controller for the e-manage, the more expensive one controls the e-manage and is a boost controller.

15500208 E-01 E-Manage Programmer
15500207 E-01 E-Manage Boost Controller/Programmer

So anyone with a de-catted, J-spec, running stock turbos who doesn't need the boost control function it would be cheaper to go for just the programmer.

15500500 GREDDY E-manage
15500207 GREDDY PRofec E-01 Boost Controller
15901001 GREDDY Support Tool (optional)
15900902 GREDDY Ignition Harness
15900901 GREDDY Injector Harness
15900544 GREDDY PRofec E-01 External Signal Harness
15900543 GREDDY PRofec E-01 Pressure Sensor Harness (optional)
Generic 2m USB Cable

This would be an ideal package if you wish to get the e-manage and the E-01
