Veiwing Supra Tomorrow

Im veiwing this supra tomorrow,its the third one down ,the black one

Will you be wanting to put Racelogic traction control on? If so check to see if it has ABS (NA's don't have it as standard)- its a nightmare to fit RLTC without ABS.

have you drove a turbo yet,if not do before you commit to the n/a.

 

ive had a few turbo cars,such as fiat uno turbo and 3 escort rs turbos,i know the supra turbo is probably a lot more reliable than them,but ive just had it with turbo cars now and the high maintenance they require, the n/a supra is the only n/a car i think looks the dogs bol**cks at the moment, and as long as i regulary service it,lthe only thing ill be paying out for is petrol bill lol

i wasnt thinking of putting that on,that would take a bit of the fun away

Very little difference at all between the 2, in fact the TT is normally a bit cheaper to run as the insurance is usually cheaper...........

I had a 93 manual n/a 5 speed. Got it coz of the insurance (being only 21 was a bit of a bitch) only had it a few months then decided to just pay out for a TT (still looking for a good 1).... Anyway, i didnt notice it for a fair while but the orange engine warning light (right side of dash) started to come on every now and then. Never did find out what it was causein it but just look out for it... cant be too good.

 

And yeah... did find it a lil hard to handle at first but the only time i had it was through the winter :(

Ah, but unlike an NA you have laggy turbos, so no instant response. ;)

 

 

Nope....no lag here....youve got Two turbos for this reason....plus be in the right gear for the right speed and you have nothing to worry about.

 

no comparison between the TT and the NA..

 

fuel economy wise I am getting 20 mpg in london which I think is fair enough for a car as heavy as the supra, 3ltr and Twin turbo...

 

plus, if you are concerned about fuel economy, or maintenance costs then the supra is NOT for you.

I still have the 3.0 engine that she has ;) Get out of that one batman.

 

Trust me - the NA responds a *lot* faster than a turbo.

 

Besides, RLTC is jolly useful down country roads, something the NA's do a *lot* better than TT's.

Anyway Paul, before Bobbeh and Keith kick off again, hope the viewing goes well and you end up with a car that suits you - that is after all what is important, not what we think.
