Wzup everyone,

Has anyone removed vinyl decals?

I have just put some on and have changed my mind about some of them and need to remove a couple. I've read up that I can do it with a hairdryer to heat the vinyl up and then peel it off but does anyone else have any advice?

Yes, you need to warm it up with a hairdryer so its not brittle and doesn't snap off.

Take your time. Don't rush it.

TIP: Don't pull the stickers off away from the car.

After the vinyl is warm and you have a starting point (picked an edge off), fold the edge pack on itself so the sticky side is away from the car.

Using the palm of your hand roll the vinyl off. Similar motion to rolling pastry with a rolling pin.

Some times warm water also helps.

 Sorry Arghjae that was entirely my fault. I reckon we heat it gentlly, roll it off as above, and the adhesive should dissolve with the help of a little parafin / diesel. I'll help you get them off. See you for the road trip today.

totally what SStar 3000 said. Take your time - best to do them slowly. get frustrated, and that is when the car suffers!
