My power steering sprung a leak on Mon and spewed its contents all over the driver. Car was taken into my local Toyota dealership in Loughborough and they have quoted £1100 for replacement. This consist of £400 of parts and the rest in labour. They estimate 6.5 hours labour. I have a UK supra. Can anyone help or advise.

MichaelG
I would phone another local Toyota Dealership and ask........sounds ridiculous.
Wez
You could buy a better quality aftermarket unit for half that price and fit it yourself.
Scooter
mjansari, firstly where is the leak? My old UK car had a pin hole leak on the power steering cooling pipe (the bit that looks like the heating element in a kettle) My friendly local mechanic snipped the pipe and put in a hose section + clips in its place........still fine to this day afaik.
