View Full Version : Urgent Ecu!
Due to my ECM being full of water(!!??) I am urgently after a replacement for a 1994 Jap Twin Turbo Manual. Does anyone thats fitted an aftermarket system have one spare for sale? The cars stuck at a garage 100 miles away so quick response appreciated if poss! Will collect if not the other end of the country.
Steve
P.S. I would like to highly recommend "The Garage" in Wishaw to anyone in the area after all their help today (including going our to get me a KFC!!)

Have you tried drying it out in a warm airing cupboard? It's AMAZING waht an ecu will survive, a friend once tried to demonstrate how much environmental abuse a modern ecu will take, and I was VERY impressed. Sorry, i don't have any spare ecus though. Good luck. Is the garage proprietor the one with the well modded Skyline GTS-t?
Tried cleaning and drying but too much corrosion on a substantial part of the circuit board. Marc at the garage did have the rapid Skyline but sold it a little while ago to go all sensible and get married I think!!

Ahh! Right, bad luck.
"Sensible" and "get married" are mutually exclusive, IMO :)
Can't help with the ECU, but just wanted to say that Marc is a great guy and knows his Supras! I take my car to him for everything :D

I totally agree. Thats the first time I've been but won't be the last
ECUs, especially ones for motorsport use, can be built incredibly strong. Having said that I've seen a few dead ones, including one with a hole blown straight through the CPU, and one the other day that had sustained a large impact - the acceleration had slid one of the chips across the board!
I have one steve, PM me
