I was bidding on a GReddy intercooler that an experienced Ebay trader had up for sale but he's closed the auction with just over 24 hours to go because "The item is no langer available" :swear:

Nothing to do with the fact that bidding was only up to £350 so far, honest guv.

Funny that he hasn't taken the other, exactly the same, item off eBay that still has several days to go.

GRRRR!!!! :complain:

It's still at 6K. I'm sorely tempted but I don't know if I can buy a car without going to see it first and all that. With only two days to go I couldn't make it down there.

Am I right in thinking that if you are the highest bidder you have to buy it unless there is something VERY wrong with it?

I believe that is the eBay rules but I know that it's not legally enforceable. The worst anyone can do is file a Non Paying Bidder claim against you with eBay and they then might ban your eBay account.

If you win the auction for a car go see it, if it's ok pay for it and take it home. If you're not happy walk away - same as you would with any other car.

Hmmmm.... The seller ended this listing early because the item is no longer available for sale. Whatever that means?

Means the car wasnt getting the money he wanted for it, so rather than stick to the auction and sell it at the price it finished at, he pulled the plug and used a poor excuse. :limp:

Its been on before, it will be advertised again.
