Cheers mate that would be a big help  :thanks:

Are the brakes UK spec? Will you be able to weigh front and rear? Will the callipers include the brake pads (ideally I need weight without pads but with pads will do)?

Sourced some brakes for a mate and just trying to work out postage rate from here.

are you working out some suspension settings and working out the unsprung weight or something?
Doc,

More likely he's working out carriage costs.

Nic,

I've got a full set of rear brakes in my garage and I can confirm that they weigh "a fucking ton" according to the guy that delivered them. I'll get you a more exact figure in the morning if nobody else has sorted you out by then.

UK Spec rear disk (brand new in box) 6.8 kg

UK Spec rear caliper (BNIB) 2.7 kg

This closely ties up with what the shipping stickers on the boxes from Elmhurst Toyota say : 15lbs for each disk, 6.0lbs for each caliper.

Nic's in Hong Kong though :D

Ah yes! So my post was no help at all! £12 to post the wrong type of brakes to the wrong country!

Looking at the parcel force website, this means a J spec callipers must weigh something less than 5Kg each. Not UK spec I know, but they can't be that different??
