I watched the full race on MOTORS TV yesterday.... the Nissan 350Z (or fairlady as they call it) was pulling away at the front for most of the race until he damaged a rim and also what looked like his suspension. This left the path clear for two Supras to come storming through.

Its a shame now that they are turning this championship into a World series that they don't have any rounds in the UK..... being the home of world motorsport I'd thought it would be one of the first places to put on a world tour. It would attract a huge crowd I would have thought.

They're going where the money is, DTM is too popular in Europe for a start, so Asian (malaysia) and the west coast of the USA are good places to launch the sales offensives from Japan.

The rename took place this season. I hope they get it over here in the future, it would be great to have the fastest GT series in the world on our shores.

O' boy, I'd buy tickets to see that show :read:

GT/JGTC Supras flying round silverstone would be sooooo cool,

We could organise a club event on the race day

:innocent: (....wake up Ed, It ain't gon'a happen)

There would be soooo much interest over here. i am positive that there is a bigger jap car interest and enthusiasm level in this country than there is across the whole rest of europe. We Brits are just as nutty about our machines as the Yanks are. OK we don't all have huge workshops to pull the things apart in but hey we would if we did.

That is why I think it would be popular also..... every jap car club in the UK would organise a club event to attend, this includes the Supras, RX7's, MR2's, 350Z's etc. etc.
