new to supras so bear with me-recently purchased mkiv non turbo supra
went to toyota twice to find cause of knocking noise from suspension/anti roll? they can report nothing!
its annoying and is felt over rough ground/roads
realise it could be anything but does anyone have any common known causes
also original 16" wheels fitted and the camber seems to cause excessive wear on the inside of the tread pattern-any clues? cheers

Dont know really but it was anti roll bar bushes on my celica that solved the problem.
Not surprised Toyota couldnt find anything though.

If the Toyota place you took it to dont know the MKIV I am not surprised they did not find it.
Causes could be
Sub frame bolts
Shock beginning to go but still dry.
Incorrect tightening of suspension components ie without any load on the system.
Something else it could be is the top coils of the suspension springs knocking together when travelling over rough ground, particularly at slow speeds. I get this (Eibach pro-kit) and found that with 2 people in the back, the noise goes as their weight is enough to keep the coils touching - when it's just me they move apart slightly over harsh bumps and come together with a bang/knock. I've also tried putting something around the coils, but not with too much success.
Have a look to see whether your top 3 or so coils are touching. If anyone can suggest how to cure this permanantly, please let me know
cheers :)
