Hi guys had bit of accident today swapping alternator over and caught the wires and melted my wire loom, I had disconnect battery but think when squeezing alternator in pulled the wires and somehow they bridged and wire loom started smoking, checked loom wires and loads of them are burnt and melted.

So am after a new one please, if anyone has the Toyota part number for 2jz-ge Manual Engine loom that would be massive help or knows of company that make them please,

Have searched online and all can find is companies making new GTE looms.

Am hoping can get new loom so can finish my build and get car back on road again

Hi, which loom do you need? The engine loom or the engine bay loom?

Which part melted?

I need the complete engine bay loom from ecu,

And I had smoke from hot side wire loom plus for the bit that goes behind cam verniers, when checked all the wires were melted and just fell apart when touched them

Well behind the cams is the engine loom. There are two separate looms you see. The alternator main positive strap with the 12mm nut...that part is the engine bay loom. Whereas the 3 pin plug that goes on the alternator is the engine loom.

I should have both looms but need to know which one you need? Unless you need both?

Well thought would update this to help other members,

Toyota no longer sell the GE engine wire loom.

Haven’t had any luck finding 2nd wire loom,

But have found company in states called Tweak’d that do 2jz looms plus custom 2jz looms, so will be getting a custom 2jz-ge loom from them.
