Zircotec & Dei turbo blanket?

Wouldn't have thought so as that's what the Zircotec is for surely?

Nothing like using a heat gun and measuring the temp, wondered has anybody tested it yet

Max you are only getting 33% heat reduction with the white coating, it is less with other colors, will 33% heat reduction even warrant not using a blanket

Engine bay preservation is also one of the main reasons to apply the coating

I have a new DEI blanket sitting here , they are not cheap ; I would rather sell on if surplus

I was looking at the scenario backwards from you I think.

Has anyone with Zircotec coating ever melted or even damaged another component in the engine bay from excess heat? If not, don't bother with the blanket. A street car isn't really going to build up the kind of temps you'd see in a track car either and they seem to hold up fine with just the coating.

Would be a shame to hide the Zircotec coating as well :D
