OEM radiator parts?

So today, I have to admit, I've been a complete penis.

As some of you may know, I've searched for 2 years to finally find an airbox. Well today I fitted it along with the 2 air ducts.

Turns out the bolt I had for the air duct that goes over the rad was too long...

Long story short there's now a bolt sized hole in the top of my rad :(

Toyodiy suggests the rad can be split into sections. Does this mean I can find a knackered rad and swap the plastic tops over? Or am I now just stuck with buying an aftermarket ally one?image

When the bolt went tight, why didnt you stop?!
It never really got that tight tbh. The captive nut was a bit rusty so provided a bit of resistance. There was barely any more resistance from the plastic. If it had spun in finger tight and then stopped short I may have noticed

You'll find the tabs break off if you prise them back and try and re crimp them on fitting an intact header tank :( I may have a usable TT rad. As you are manual you can use either an auto or a manual rad. in fact an auto rad means you can use the inbuilt transmission cooler for the PAS when the bent bit of steel tube Toyota use for the PAS cooler corrodes through and starts leaking :) Otherwise just ignore it. I'll have a look later.
