Intercooler pipework cushioning?

Where my intercooler piping goes down from the Y-branch manifold (Im NA-T) and through the hole made just behind the headlight...over bumps the pipework grazes against the cut hole in the metal, making a creaking type sound. What can i use to cushion the hole so that the pipework is protected as well as no noise made?

Shouldn't need to stick it down, the intercooler pipe sitting on it should keep it in place.

I'd also slit the hose along it's inner edge - the hose will naturally want to coil itself up - slit along the inside of this coil. Then when you place it round the hole in the inner wing it will push itself against the edges of said hole (as it tries to coil back up) and keep itself in place.

hope my explanation is OK!!
