Are we likely to see relatively young cars at the kind of prices you'd pay for a 10-12 year old model now? Oh, I thought I'd seen this topic covered already but couldn't find anything! neilg Posted March 16, 2005 Share Posted March 16, 2005 Ive seen writeups saying the new sup will cost over £60000. not everyone will be buying one The sup is always going to be a car that looks better than most others on the road, will always be desirable, will always be expencive to run, insure etc. Cant ever see prices altering that much not for the good ones anyway. Compare it to something like the escort cosworths, same kind of age, pay stupid money for those for the same reasons. There is a manual non turbo on autotrader for £3500 in need of minor cosmetics. But I dont see the MKV making any difference to the price at all. Green Peace Posted March 20, 2005 Share Posted March 20, 2005 I doubt there will be a sudden price drop..there are two examples in Autotrader a 2001 TT Manual with 6.5k miles for £20k and a 2002 Tiptronic for £25k....still good value in my opinion! I agree with Chris..the Lexus LF-A is to replace the Soarer 2.5TT/4.0 Litre. its not in the same market as the Supra... If Toyota does bring out a MkV even then it wont affect the value of the MKiv until they are on the secondhand market at less than £30k.
