NA-T copper spark plugs help

I am after some help regarding best spark plugs to run in my forged NA-T build, currently I have just got the old iridium’s fitted to keep dirt and dust old but have heard few people use copper plugs to run new engines in.

So was wondering if it’s best to use copper plugs and if so what ones to use as I am unsure?

Run what plugs you like as long as they are the correct heat range for your engine tune, the only difference between copper and iridium is service life.

I normally run coppers for running in & mapping. They are cheaper, give the same performance (within their lifespan) and easier to adjust gaps if needed.

For most single builds a BKR7E plug is a good place to start. Though you will need to reduce gap as boost increases. If you are going for crazy power then you will need to go colder, BKR8E but then you are looking at iridium plugs.

You should consult your mapper about this really, as it will depend on your power goals, boost, fuel type etc.

Thank you very much for that, it’s just mainly to run the engine in for a 500-1000miles before get her mapped just want to make sure everything working as should and no leaks before take her to be mapped.

I always thought for mapping they say run copper plugs as they'll let go first before something more important
