Agreed Value / Adrian Flux

Hi,

Currently insured with Adrian Flux and they have just rejected my agreed value request with no reason attached, and no request for additional information. Rubbish customer service which I don't have to put up with, so looking to change to somebody who can provide that basic service.

Who are people using for agreed values on their cars? Any recommendations?

Try Lynbrook insurance, been with them for a few years now, agreed value no problem with them, your premiums will increase obviously the higher agreed value you have.

I used to use LWIB for the Supra agreed value policy, always had good service with

keen prices.

I've had no issues with LV Classic (insurer), Hegerty (broker) or Lancaster (broker) where I've pitched a price and always had it accepted without any fuss.

Hello Mark, still got the Supra then, I used flux for a while, but they got too dear, so went elsewhere, can't remember who but most use markerstudy as the underwriters for modified cars so will probably be down to them changing their format.

Strangely I am back with Flux for my bike insurance as they were the cheapest by far.

Its all a random game of who you call and who picks up. Get a list of recommened insurers..and call around.

This is my first year with Adrian Flux and my first year with an agreed value policy. I took out the policy with them using the price I'd paid for the car and this was accepted by them, but now in hindsight I wondered if I should have chosen a higher value to compensate for the increases in value mid-term. When I spoke to someone about this last week the AF person told me I've to now get it independently valued before they'll agree to increase it. Bugger

Same with me, no problems , and i got 5k not 3k as with most .

Thanks all for the replies, I'll have a call round and see who can do the best quote. For the record, I was perfectly happy with the quote, but am unhappy with the customer service in this case. I used Adrian Flux years ago and the service was terrible, I'd hoped it had got better by now..

If your on Facebook find Jamie bishop, actually he might be on here as he owns a supra. He works for fllux and will sort it out. I had the same issue with them when I insured. They’ve now accepted my agreed value.

They call themselves a specialist insurer yet don’t have a clue on the value of cars, and they won’t let you speak to the agreed value team.

I’m just in the process of 25k on my facelift tt6 single.

^ 25K for a single turbo 6 speed seems very low.

It’s a bit harder for you as singles rarely come up for sale nowadays. It goes without saying price is dictated by condition, good service history and good branded parts used throughout the car. I’d tally up every receipt and there is your provable figure. In my eyes the whole point of an agreed value is to put you back in the same financial position you were in should the worst happen. I’m sure insurance companies will see it differently.

 

After looking around recently to see prices and availability in Japan to import a low mile good condition TT Auto would cost you 20K+ and 25K+ for the later Tiptronic version.

 

A low mile J-spec TT6 in good condition would be 30K.

 

In comparison and trying to be realistic matching the same condition as above a UK TT Auto would cost you 25k+ and UK TT6 35k+. I said 30K+ in another post but thinking about it again I would be surprised to see one for the same price as a j-spec.

They asked me for specific photos. Sent them over to them and got the correct value [emoji106]
