Updating the V5C

Looked at my V5C a while ago and it no longer described my car after all the changes. My Supra has had two colour changes since it was born and at least two different engines in my ownership alone. I think the original GE engine was either destroyed or sold after having a turbo added to it.

The required info for an engine swap:

https://www.gov.uk/change-vehicle-details-registration-certificate

You need to provide either:

- A receipt for the replacement engine

- Written evidence from the manufacturer

- An inspection report provided for insurance purposes

- Written confirmation on headed paper from a garage (if the change took place before you bought the vehicle)

Chris Wilson kindly noted on some letter headed paper when I last saw him that he can indeed confirm the presence of a larger engine fitted and running. This was good enough for the DVLA so now I have an official 4 litre Supra, and the colour change, and a private reg change :D A different car pretty much!

Took 4 weeks to arrive..
