Be careful which mechanics you source your parts from.

Sorry for the long walk of text beforehand.

Back in March 2017 I ordered various new parts for my car equalling around £1200, through a supra specialist mechanic (who I will not name at this moment but I will call Jerry).

I thought and was told that he was a reputable source for a Japanese parts manufacturer.

It has now been almost a whole year since ordering them and I feel like I’m no closer to seeing my parts than I ever was.

Jerry constantly made up excuses for why he hadn’t got them (shipping and import problems) and then when they had arrived they’re now apparently stuck at the back of Jerry’s lock up that he can no longer access due to someone’s car being in the way.

This is more of a rant than a plea for help because I feel at this moment it’s a lost cause. If I can recommend anything it would be make sure you research and order through a verified company and get a full receipt for every part.

Don’t get left being kept up at 5am worrying about how you’re ever going to get your money back.

A highly reputable company took my brothers subaru for breaking they agreed to purchase the car as a whole, 2 years passed same old excuses. I took them to court last year after 2 years of hearing the same old excuses no payment, moral of the story we won the court case and they had to pay nearly double the cost.

I’d just like to clarify - Charlie bought the parts before going travelling for months. I stored the parts inside a car at my 2nd unit for safe keeping. Since then, my car was crashed and due to another vehicle being dumped on me, I have been unable to move my car in order to get access to the vehicle these parts are stored in.

I have also been in contact with Charlie, and assured him as soon as I can move my car, his parts will be available. (imminently!!!) I was also waiting for some bodywork to be undertaken on his car before fitting said parts, which has not been mentioned since his return.

Seeing as you’re no longer replying to texts Charlie, I shall repeat what I have said via text for all to see. I suggest you come and see me, and I’d appreciate it if you removed this thread, as it is not only does not contain all the facts, it is potentially damaging to my business, and as such, will have no option to pass the screen shots to my solicitor.

I will not be commenting on a public forum again about this.
