Welcome, if you have any questions then this is probably the best forum to ask them in the technical or chat sections. Hopefully the car came to you with history on the maintenance and mods so you know what has been done to it over the years.

Well done on the purchase, seen it advertised and removed within an hour.

Only concern about the car/price is it wasn’t a forged engine otherwise looked very good.

Awesome thanks so much for the response! I am very happy with the purchase but can't wait to see it. Is there anything I can do when I purchase the car about it not being a forged engine? And should I go to paul whiffins garage to go get it inspected just in case? How well known is he for doing inspections? Thanks for all the responses!

Would it not be an idea to maybe pay a little extra and ask the seller to take the car for inspection (local) at your cost prior to collection?

so the owner did an brand new MOT for me today and it passed with no advisories. I was just wondering if it should still be inspected by a supra specialists if there was anything else that needs to be check out, cause from what i can tell this is exactly what i wanted in a supra.

You can just turn up at the tunnel and get the next available train but cheaper i think to book

in advance if possible

Looks cheaper if you book a day trip return and just don't bother using the return, not sure

if that's allowed :innocent:

Day trip return is as low as £23 going out and £30 for the return

Cheapest one way is £84 that i can see

Without knowing the price it's hard to advise on inspection.

The mot passing is a good thing, but obviously doesn't mean it's completely ok, safest route is full inspection etc etc etc however I'd try for some video's perhaps from the current owner as I suspect he isn't going to arrange all that for you. I take it he knows you are going to drive it back to Germany? if so it would be harsh (and I think unlikely) to sell to you with a known running issue that might stop you doing that? How is the seller coming across to you, often selling to someone coming from abroad puts them off as it's a potential hassle for all.
