Hi All,

New member to the forum (returning after lurking - lease car is now up and I am looking to buy a Supra right now before my head talks me out of it ) - decided now that i can its time to have a shot at owning the car i always dreamed of. Any help in the owning side of it please share , I get that its a constant job to keep and maintain a classic car but it just seems so worth it for these. Im from Scotland so any local members if you would be up for meeting and sharing any tips or showing me what to look for it would be appreciated.

Thank you ,

Ross

Thanks Tyson , I'll get that sorted.

Will that allow me to return private messages and post replies to threads ? - struggling with what access you have as a non paid member , pretty new to forums in general !

Edit : Paid up now , worth it for the info in the forums alone.

As a paid member will allow you access to private messages and the sale. wanted classified sections of the forums along with the members areas.

Officially part of the club now , picked up Carnage's Supra on Sunday. Real genuine guy - sorry you had to see her go man.

What a drive home that turned out to be , That big ass single turbo takes a while to get familiar with !

Hoping to get the cars small niggles sorted out over the winter.

See yous around,

Ross

Do yourself a favour and get full AA cover. The garage and parts cover pays out for anything that breaks(not wear and tear) and has saved me thousands. They pay upto 500 per claim upto 5 times per year.

Did not know that full AA cover provided this... Have you had any issues with them because the age of the car, as a get out I can see them complaining a 24 year old motor whatever goes is wear and tear? Also does this include non standard parts? If so I reckon that's a no brainer and I'll be picking that up

RAC only covers uptp 15 years. AA unlimited. Never had a claim rejected but any aftermarket parts like single turbo won't be covered.
