Din space covers....

I need 2 ideally, but Toyota say that they don't make 'em

Could anyone give me the part no. to correct them with or could you please let me know what I can use instead.

Many Thanks

Do a search, has been talked about recently, toyata do do one, i listed the part number some time ago when i got mine. More recently people have been using a generic/volvo one from halfords.

Do you mean 'COVERS', or, 'POCKETS' Alex ? ?

I got the Volvo 'pocket' form Halibuts and was pleasently
suprised to find not only is it NOT specifically for the Volvo,
but, it has a little fitting guide/2 types of side brackets/ and 3
front 'edgings'.

It tells you to use a specific 'front' and side brackets for a Toyota,
and both match the Supras' dash EXACTLY ! !

The front bit is JUST the right thickness to space-to-the-dash front
and
the side brackets match EXACTLY with the screw holes in the
Supra radio 'carrier' .
[It's a tad hard-plasticky, but looks OK]

I was pleased as it meant I COULDN'T muck it up
(for a change !)

My local Halfrauds have denied all knowledge of Din blankers :(

I'll try the other one in the city (non-superstore) next week..

Cheers

Thats halfrauds for ya! ;)

Maybe saying "Din Pocket" might be more like it - but its a pocket and not a blanking plate if that makes a difference...

Its made by Autoleads and costs 12.99...

Alex, if it's the din pocket you're after, go to Halfords and ask for a FP-006.

If you still have no luck, let me know and I'll get one sent to you.

I don't want a pocket

I want a nice flat piece of plastic...onto which I'll mount the boost controller and the powermeter....

NICE sell them, NCA will as well, VCF may, i've told you this and bought one from NICE before, while you're there you can shout at them for screwing you about your front speaker and you may get a flat din plate for free!

I tried to get hold of one of these a while ago - one of the ones with a square hole for a turbo timer etc and a round one for a gauge. Racelogic told me they weren't available any more. I ended up using the good old Volvo cubby-hole thing and glueing a bit of plastic on the front, cut to the same size as the hole in the dash. Here's a pic:
