It'll be just like doing a normal cambelt? I spose in your case you could 'clothes line' clip on the belt to the cams and wedge the belt in place under the crank sprocket so when you de-tension the belt it stays where it needs to whilst you swap in the billet bracket and then re-tension?

Forgot to mention I am also changing the crank sprocket

Then, what I do is fit the cambelt after doing this, like you say nothing should/will have moved much, then after re-tensioning I pop the bottom plastic cover on and lightly put the crank pulley on and rotate it to check the alignment marks. It's easy to get it one tooth out even without disturbing things as the crank sprocket to intake cam run is tight (you don't want any slack that side!) and you are often left to tweak the cam back or fore to get the belt on. It's simple really, I'm just saying you 'can' get a tooth out and from experience you want to check you aren't before refitting everything!! :)

Thanks Scooter, I guess it doesn't help I have carbon fiber covers on so there is no marking on the case :lol:

 

Long screwdriver in cylinder number one and carefully rotate the crank to get TDC or use a dti gauge screwed in the plug hole

No :D however it's timed now, so with the top cam cover removed you can rotate to get the cam marks lined up and then pop a couple of stickers on the carbon cover either side of the groove in the crank pulley?

 

Or go with Mike's info.....which I'll check out next time as I wasn't aware of this :)
