Hello guys in based in Wolverhampton and I was wondering if there is anyone around here with a supra preferably a 2jz that would be available for an hour on Saturday afternoon to take my father In law to his wedding. All costs will be covered by myself. The supra is his favourite car and it's my way of also saying thank you for all the things he has done for us. Sorry for the short notice guys and hopefully someone will be available to do it

Just a thought, would you be covered by insurance if something were to happen? Isn't there normally a clause excluding cover for 'hire or reward'?

Would hate for someone to do a nice deed and get in trouble for it if pulled by the police or involved in an accident...

Expenses covered is a good deed not hire or reward

Fair enough, just trying to protect the forum members.

Thread title mentions 'hire' so I just thought that if something did happen, that your insurer could have a case that it was in fact a hire as the person doing the good deed didn't know anyone from the wedding party from Adam, and they could then reasonably argue not to pay out.

If I were closer, i would volunteer to help out but I would check with my insurer first just to be sure of the Ts&Cs on my policy.

I was given the heads up on this site by a good friend and owner of 2jz who I went to school with, I asked him if he would drive him to the venue and he said yes if I'm not busy on the day. Unfortunately he is busy and can't do it so he told me to take to this forum. His name is jack evans if you would like to find him and ask him.
