Steve wants to run have these features for added safety as he is pushing his setup a bit further

 

Those features are standard on the Syvecs and most modern ecu's but he wants to keep the F con, so adding the AFK is a good solution.

Ah ok, I only asked as I wasn't sure, and hadn't heard of it.

Thr way I understood it, was the fcon runs parallel with the oem ecu - which still takes care of knock control, and various other sensors, and the fcon acts as a 'piggy back' purely for timing and fuelling

Yeah so if the HKS has control of timing and fueling, the stock ecu has no effect on timing or fueling at all.
