So there some kiddie claiming to have done over 170mhp in a stock na supra only thing done to it was and exhaust

I'm finding it hard to believe he's done over 170mph

Has anyone done this or know what the stock na are capped to

If I'm correct in thinking it's also gearing isn't it.

The 5 NA has a theoretical top speed of 160mph

Theoretically the 6 speed TT can go nearly 200mph

Obviously wheel size and differentials come into play though.

The theoretical top speed with 275/35/18 tyres is 173 for a W58 and the NA 5 speed 4.083 diff. I very much doubt he's managed that. I've got a 5 speed NA, but can't test this as it has the speed limit defender cutting in at 112mph. Having had a vvti 2jz IS300, that ran out of puff at about 130 and I can't for the life of me believe there is another 40mph in there in 5th on a Supra.

I've had 170 from my TT auto (stock), BPU parts are being delivered this week

I'm not convinced a stock NA 2j has enough beans to kick a Supra to 170, even on a speedway. You'd be on the limiter at 170 and you'd need some big rear tyres.

155 is all that I could get mine to with a GPS @ 6500 in fifth and a very long bit of road. It will get there but takes ages.

Most NA clocks I've seen aren't super accurate either, especially with a kph to mph converter

Ive done 140+ in na auto with only exhaust. Reckon it could do over 150 but would need a lot of road. Done 170 in tt6 on runway bpu uk car.

He is now say he's done 170mph in an Honda Civic ep3 ? What ever that is
