wkdtime
Im looking at a J spec TT 6SP 1994 model, has had the cambelt changed at 60k, recen front discs and breaks changed all round, the car is pretty mint outside and a little tired inside, it has 82k miles on the clock. what i need to know is that is the mileage too high? or is it ok! price for the car is 8k
Homer
You're joking right? For 8k, if that car is mechanically okay that’s an absolute steal!! Interiors are easily tidied up

Homer
I bought mine last year with 56k on the clock for 8k!!! But this is a 6 spd, not an auto
Class One
and???
Homer
and??? ...therefore higher demand = higher purchase price. 8k is a low price for a 6spd TT j-spec, even at 80k+km. There quite a few auto's available at that price (particularly non aero's) but very few 6spds. If this is a decent car then its a bargain. Miguel
Hi , If the engine is stock ,has had good service intervals and was treated well the engine will last well into the 120K and beyond... only worries are the state of the Turbos ..how they have been driven, boosted ect ect...Still for that price i would not moan if i had to slap some tubs on it 6 months after . Homer
thanx guys, but is the mileage ok, i mean, will the engine last for another 30k miles if looked after??? If it’s been looked after 100%, unmodified and all service intervals followed then there's no reason it shouldn't go on for 300K+ miles. If there’s no Supra specialist available locally then your best bet is to use the 'buyers guide' FAQ's on this forum and get an AA/RAC inspection. With the inspections you get at least some guarantees of the quality of the vehicle, so if anything does go wrong in the first few months you will be covered. A few members here I know have benefited from that
