suprz_rz
sounding like a geek, but the fan can only supply 250 CF/min which is 7 cubic metres per metre. The 3L soop engine uses 9 cubic metres of air @ 6000 rpm. Therefore roughly any revs above 5000 the fan will restrict airflow into the engine. Before 5000 rpm the fan may slightly overcome losses in the air intake, but it will certainly not produce boost. It is the wrong type of fan to produce pressure. Turbo compressor blades are shaped the way they are for a reason. cylindrical fans are air movers, so look like they will do the job, but DONT WORK !! JustGav
http://www.boosthead.com/home.php I remember looking at something like that a while ago... but I reckon the weight of the system would outweigh the benefits... that and putting in a dual charging 48v-12v system was way too much hassle
