cuz i work in a dealership it cost me £15 for 5 litres, not bad unless thats the retail price too......

its the durablend one ? does anyone else use it

tried to get the silkolene one but can't get it from general shops ie halfords.

been told this stuff is just as good.

As im not using me car at the mo, i started it today (standing) for 10 mins not been touched in 2 days in this weather is it normal for the smoke to be coming out in quite large quantities upwards rather than vertical , its all dark grey stuff no blue whatsoever ?

It doesn't mean anything other than you haven't started the car for a while.

Probably a bit of oil from the stem seals, a bit carbon, a lot of condensation. Don't worry about it unless it starts doing it every day.

Is your car decatted? TT or N/A ? (A meaningful sig would help if you aren't going to put the car details in the post when asking for advice)

I wouldn't mention it in the same breath as Silkolene PRO as it's not a 100% pao/ester, it's a hydrocracked oil (petroleum based).

No doubt it will be fine in your car but not the same as the Silkolene I'm afraid.

Cheers

Simon
