Bootlid rust question

Hi all, I've the usual two spots of rust on the bootlid where it meets the rubber I'm looking to get repaired this year. Question is what is a ballpark cost people have paid for this before I start getting quotes.

Both spots measure around 1cm sq.

Thanks!

always try and find a bootlid without rust. The bootlid is double skinned at that section it will almost certainly come back unless you completely cut it out.

Then of course fit a new seal to avoid any further leakage in future.

It all depends how far the rust has progressed as to cost and viability of repair. Glass out and glass in cost £60. Seal around £50. Paint and labour allow for £250. So likely not a lot of change out of £500 unless you know of somewhere you can get mates rates. There is a red paint tailgate without glass and trim for sale on eBay at the moment. Might be of interest as they don't get listed too often?

That eBay one must be gone unless I can't find it. Yea I would be after a proper repair, all affected area cut out etc, gives me an idea at least before get some prices. It's really not that bad, just the only blemish on the car and I'm sure will only get worse.
