Nic Posted February 28, 2017 Share Posted February 28, 2017 (edited) China is LHD and I think there are rules that restrict the use of RHD cars, I'm sure there will be some there but it'll be in very very small numbers. I had mine for 10 years in Hong Kong but that is RHD and quite a few were brought in from Japan. Chriss Posted March 1, 2017 Share Posted March 1, 2017 (edited) You wont be able to drive in China with out a Chinese license and they are next to impossible for foreigners to get, also China encourage people to buy Local produced cars and are not really an import country, Also they have stupid laws about cars over 10 years old being illegal in a lot of cities, there is also anti Japanese feelings. Hong Kong would be the best place in Asia outside of Japan for JDM.....I heard Thailand also has a good few but I have never been there. Before I landed I struggled to relaise why we couldn't drive. But when I saw the way Chinese drive...Well lets just say I prefer to take the Metro. Chinese out here 'switch lanes' for fun (without indicating). Seen one dude pull from the 5th lane & dive for the exit with a last gasp effort I was in a taxi few metres behind thinking wtf these drivers are just as crazy as the arabs you see on Youtube And I have a mate in HK he tells me it's rediculously stupid to have imported cars, as it costs extra to maintain with the stupid laws in place. So thats me not seeing a Supra till at least July then. Ps the Chinese in Shanghai love their Porshes, AMG, Lambos & Mclarens they're not fan of Beemas.
