JZX90 (non vvti) & JZX100 (vvti) are both front sumps. You will need to convert to a rear sump setup to fit in the supra.

Changing from a front to rear setup means you will also have to adjust the oil return, and maybe even drill and tap it if it's of a 2JZGE.

Other than that, you just need supra engine mounts and you can throw the engine in. Although get ready for some fun with the wiring.

Plenty of info online on non vvti 1jz ecu/plugs pinouts, but less so for vvti.

If it is similar to an Aristo Engine (front mounted sump), might need to put in provisions for other impediments involved

The biggest pain in the ASS is the wiring , even for a Non VVTI Supra 2JZGTE I think you can have between 2-3 different wiring configurations from OEM, Why Toyota made it such a minefield I dont know but when you start to incorporate non-factory conversions , you can see the potential work, and impending swear Jar on the horizon

I found it a nightmare to identify all the wiring schematics for mine , its Factory GTE non VVTI , alot of cross referencing pins, until you have the loom plug physically in your hand it can be one of 3 diagrams at times

- Aristo power steering pump has a solenoid valve which the supra doesn't, mainly this effects the power steering lines as the bolt configuration is different, you will need a supra one

-The water pump is the same on the VVTi and is not hydro – it will not need to be changed

-The aristo has a front mounted sump, you will need to change to a supra mid mounted sump layout.

-Engine loom will need to be modified or swapped for a supra unit

-Engine Mounts and brackets will need to be swapped

-Brake booster bung (Goes to top of intake manifold)

-o2 sensor loom plug will need to be swapped

-Water temp sender (Not sensor) will need to be purchased and installed

-Oil level sensor plug may need to be purchased

-Heater hoses from engine will need to purchased as the aristo ones are different

-Oil dip stick bracket is different

-Oil return lines from turbos are different

-Fuse box will need custom wiring, some differences: ETSC (TRAC Control) fuse is 15amp, I setup the wiring for FAN (Don’t have them though), EFI1 and EF2 relays and fuses were setup as NA only uses one EFI relay, TEL Fuse Wiring,
