supra colour

White cars were traditionally aspirational in Japan as the colour apparently represents prosperity, hence the large number of Japanese cars in White (white was unpopular elsewhere when Supras were being sold new ) not sure if this is still the case.

But Yes, the current premium for white cars can pretty much be blamed on the last Fast and Furious film.

When I was looking at Mk4's in 1998 they were all silver. Nothing but silver and I ended up buying the 6th car that happened to be the first non silver one I looked at, it was and is white. It was white before the fast and furious films and I thought it looked good, even in 1998. Just happens that white went on to become the new black and who knows, silver might become the new white?

Is there going to be a new supra launched??? Anyone have a spec??

From what I've seen/heard at the last 2 Tokyo auto salons, there isn't going to be a new supra sadly :( (even my friend that works for Toyota USA said the same). People think the FT-1 was going to be it, but it won't and I doubt that will even make production imho
