Keeping your battery topped up * SOLAR POWER *

Morning gents,

as everyone does this time of year i only take the supra out on nice dry, clean, salt free days which are few and far between sooooo comes the problem of the battery holding charge with keeping power to my alarm 24/7 ( the battery i don't think is in best of states )

At this moment in time its not acceptable to keep a cable to the car with a optimizer.

Has any used the Solar Power chargers that are available on the market ?

Does any rate them at all?

with my job being in the marine industry i see boats using them all the time on batteries with amperage far higher than ours, this would solve a problem being suction cupping it to my window and running the lines under my bonnet.

cheers, Aaron

I used one I got off Amazon (Power BEE 3W solar panel trickle charger ) with my Alarm activated , I found during the winter months we did not get enough light in terms whats generated versus consumption

Battery did go Flat , plus the cold does not help

3W panel might be too small an outlay , I am sure some maths will let you know if it is sufficient for your consumption

I would also look into too much output may damage the battery if it is fully charged , I think the charger needs to drop to 0.5 amps when the battery is under low consumption (maintenance mode)
