drift_bear Posted October 11, 2016 Share Posted October 11, 2016 (edited) So its getting to that time of year where alot of the owners take the cars off the road for winter and do some upgrades, either cosmetic or mechanical. So what is everyone's plans for this year then? Maybe new paint? Single/manual conversions? Rebuilds? Here's my list - Remove engine and gearbox Strip down the whole engine All new engine gasket set New crank pulley Repolish parts and get more polished items New rear seal for the getrag Refurbish UK brakes all round Paint the brakes Clean and paint engine bay Clean up engine and gearbox Finally fit the big twins Mapping Good coat of underseal Remove rear seats Dye carpet black Fit Roll cage **Other stuff i might do** Fully build the engine Bigger injectors New wheels New seats I'm in no rush to get all this done, so will do it over time probably and get it ready for the start of show season next year IF anyone has a list of what i need for going fully built with the engine then feel free to let me know lol Edited October 11, 2016 by drift_bear (see edit history) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Mike2JZ Posted October 11, 2016 Share Posted October 11, 2016 At the end of this month I'm taking mine off the road, hoping to have it off the road for most of the winter so I can install the following: - 1JZ swap, new clutch etc - Take off veilside bodykit, fix up some of the worn paint on the rear before installing ridox side skirts + rear arches - Fix boot rust - Straighten sills - Finish undersealing front end of the car - Install new steering rack bushes and maybe front end suspension refresh depending on funds Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Style Posted October 12, 2016 Share Posted October 12, 2016 I've got most of the arms, rods, bushes etc bought from Toyota and sitting in my spare room. Plan is to take the car off the road end of this month and try get the entire underside pulled apart, refurbed or replaced and then undersealed etc. I'd like to get a new diff in there if funds allow, maybe an OS Giken or something And get my engine rebuilt with TT internals so I can crank the boost up Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
