upto 600 quid, it does say however that it is a PAL version which is europe (can't see the problem) but an audio bloke told it wouldn't play british dvd's even though the seller has one in his car and says it does
can anyone confirm this ?
PAL is the European and UK format. NTSC is the American one, and will cause you problems.
Im pretty sure of that. All the DVD's I have are PAL, like my TV.
pal is the format that the picture is displayed (most tv;s now can adapt to either). The problem is not that, it is the region coding.. each area has their own code, we are region 2. as long as it is coded to that, or uncoded, you will be ok. probably a hack to get passed it anyway, just need to do a google.
Yes, quite right, and all of Europe is in region 2 so region coding will not be a problem. Some of Europe uses SECAM (mainly France).

yer that right if in any doubt of what dvd you can play just get multi region plays any dvd format (australian dvds, american dvds etc
plenty of uk sites selling that model, so i doubt you have a problem.
i take it you are buying it off ebay? if the seller emails you specifically and says it works in the UK with UK DVD's, etc and it doesn't, dont you have a legal right to get a refund within a time limit? ie, not what it was specifically advertised as / or able to do?

thank god for that, 561 quid is a bargain then unless wan of u lot place a bid !!!! which i won't have a problem with cuz thats the name of the game ?
i have mailed the seller saying is it multi-region but theres only 38 mins to go ? what the hell
its brand new with warranty so even having to pay for it be uncoded im still ok ?
cheers
come on cobblers
uncoded is best mate, you can play us dvd's! anyway, i guess most of your dvd collection is like mine, and a little on the illegal side? (not coded!!)
good purchase, make sure you get it, as i seen them advertised 1200+!!

lost the bid, didn't want to go any higher than 600 for something i was not 100% about
turned my attentions to another one used but with voice activated navigation worth 299 currently at 740 quid, i'll go up to 800 for it...
