UK turbo charger prices

Looks like one of turbo seals have gone, and I'm weighing up going for a rebuild or buying another turbo. Anyone got any idea the price for a uk spec turbo is right now? I can't find any for sale anywhere. Figured I'd post here before making a fool of myself in the sales section.

This subject came up a little while back, and if I remember they are exceptionally hard to get hold of new and they were stupid prices, (£1500 - 2000) you'll have to do a search, I think it was Chris Wilson that posted about it.

You can get them refurbed, there are a few firms that have been used on here, a couple are:- C R Turbo, Turbo Technics, I used C R Turbo for a refurb of two uk turbos about 4 years ago with good results and it cost around £800 for both, it would be more now.

I'd assume use ones aren't much cheaper which is what I'm really after. Guess the refurb option will be better for me, thanks mate

Which one has gone dude? I think I've got the cartridge for the 2nd one knocking about somewhere

Im not fantastic at problem finding mate. Are there any symptoms I can look out for without taking them off first as I won't have time to do it for a while. I have my suspicions that it's the first one though

A few years back a Toyota dealer in Sheffield was selling off all its supra parts stock on eBay and they had turbos up for £1500 each.
