Hey so just signed up to the forum to find the supra I want

I'm from Essex as you proberbly know don't get much luck with eBay and supra's ,

I currently own a E90 318d looking to sell once my insurance is up will get around Β£9000

Supra I want is ,,, black 6 speed manual turbo in really good condition without high mileage im guessing the price range is around Β£16000 depending on the quality ?

Hopefully I can keep a look out on here and find one I like enough to get strapped up πŸ˜‡

Β

Hope to meet some nice people

This. The best way to get to see a few cars and get an idea of what to look for and maybe get to meet some locals who know their way around a Supra. Absolutely invaluable especially as the cars are getting older. Welcome to the club :)

I bought my other half a 2011 E90 320d last year, it's a great car. It's pretty close to my NA 5spd in terms of straight line drive, corners are another matter :D

Yeah I'm looking forward to getting a supra I haven't a clue what would be best to get all I know so far is 6 speed manual single terbs is powerrrrr And it's got to be black mint condition inside and out . Guessing 17-20k is about the right price ? I met someone at London tunnel run at the weekend told me to join here he said don't need to pay that much for a decent 6 speed manual ??

Cheers guy hope u see lots of supra's don't be shy to invite me to meets

Hmmm, a 6 speed manual Supra TT in "black" is a very popular choice among car buyers, and not many Supras like that are about for sale lately.

Β

So while you are waiting for a specific colour/model combo to come along, the asking price could go up, up and up.

Β

You could consider looking for alternative colours also - this widens your options and your budget should be enough to find a good example.

Β

Good luck!

Yes I've been looking on here and eBay everyday , finding a lot of 5 speeds and autos , see some nice one with flappy padle but I just want a straight forward 6 speed manual turbo . Might give jm imports a try ? I still need to sell my car and save up abit of money so just browsing until I find my dream , and I need to buy subscription on this forum

I personally wouldn't buy it just to convert it to a manual car. A conversion including cost of a working V160/161 manual box is Β£4-6k, and you run the risk of mechanical failure due to the 2nd hand box or human error during the conversion.

Β

And then it won't be treated by the insurance underwriters as factory 6 speed so you might have issues insuring it - and thus resale value might be be affected.

Β

It's a very nice auto though.
