Will these wheels fit?

Looking at some new wheels but wandering if they will fit. My rear arches are already rolled.

Fronts 19x9.5 ET40 or ET35 (20-40 available)

Rears 19x11 ET35 (25-35 available)

So I'm thinking that a 295 on an ET35 on the rear will JUST fit, filling the arches nicely and 255 on the front will fit but probably on ET30, still not 100% sure about front offset.

The wheels I'm liking take longer in these offsets as they're drilled blanks rather than pre made.

But I did asked their apparent UK distributor and their comment was.................

"The 19" JR20 are produced in pre-drilled 19x9.5 ET22 and 19x11 ET25 sizes, certainly a wide fitment but will fit your mk4 supra with stretched tyres and maybe a little camber. I have attached images of an example I uncovered online running identical sized wheels with 245 and 265 tyre sizes"

REALLY! That looks shite to me. Proper offset, no silly camber, no messing with the ride height and decent width tyres, is that too much to ask?! Strangely enough since I replied with my view to them I've not heard back...................

I run a 295/30/18 on an 11.5" ET37 at the rear, though my stock arch has been flared out a bit. It's close though.

Mine poke 4.3mm more than 11" ET35 would, so you'd need arch work to make them go I'd say. Especially with a bigger tyre. If you were on a 265 or similar, then you'd maybe get away with a roll, but that is a bit of stretch which I'd rather avoid.

I'm definitely not doing 265's and stretch. Or ET25 as was suggested.

Where did you get your wheels from? I think I may need to find alternative suppliers.

They are CCW if I am not mistaken.

Dam that is close . Just checked that on http://www.willtheyfit.com and mine rims would be in just over 4mm further than yours only.

Yeah that is what I was getting at - you'd only be in the arch 4.3mm more than I am, yet I have a flare, so it'd be a struggle at that size unless you went for stretch, which I got that you didn't want to do straight away

As Frank mentioned, they are CCWs - I got them direct from CCW in the States.

Yeah you certainly can - my old CCW Classics were 18x11.5 +50.8. I had them on with a 315/30/18 and didn't foul on the inside, so these new wheels have an extra 13.8mm of clearance, but in fact it'd be a touch more due to less bulge from the sidewalls of the narrower tyre.

I can't stress enough that my flare helps greatly here. Most others with CCW wheels get their rear arches cut to ensure they don't foul.

I'm really having no luck finding decent sized wheels anywhere at present here in the UK. Might just watch ebay for a few months and see what comes up.

They would sit in another 2.5mm more than what I had before, which were pushing it for clearance on the inside anyway!

They'd also poke 10.2mm more than the Classics did, or 3.6mm less than my LM5Ts do. I'd say you'd definitely struggle at that size without arch modifications.

I've had the flare the whole time, so can't confirm just how well a roll does at that size. It is the standard issue CCW size for the rear though when you ask for 'Supra Fitment'.

As mentioned previously, it is common that the rear arches are cut to accommodate, instead of flared or rolled.

It'd be worth having a quick look on supraforums.com as well to see the experiences on there, as loads of Stateside Supras have CCWs.

Had a bit of look thanks.

Problem is finding wheel I like, at a sensible price and in the sizes I like with the correct offset is proving impossible.

So far i've only seen one that I like but its 11J ET35 so would need silly stretch + camber for a 295.

So now thinking of getting these and making them fit with a flared rear arch.

What sort of wheel design are you looking for?

Favourite wheel is probably Volks Challenge SF.

In an ideal world I'd have a 5 spoke where the spokes come right to the edge of the wheel with slender spokes. Jade R's are not bad but old hat now and not that wide.

But only wheel so far I've like seen for sale likes the look of is the Japan Racing JR20 in Bronze. Tho would want to see one in the flesh before buying.

Can you not buy the Challenge SF in the size you need?

Thinking Japan Racing JR20's with a flare to the rear arch. Tho a bit tempted to go for the Ridox style front wings (+15mm) to compliment the look.

I'm pretty sure that the Ridox front wings actually give 30mm PER SIDE, rather than overall.

The GRAMS ones are 30mm combined, I couldn't tell if the Shine ones are combined or each and not sure the genuine Ridox ones are still made.
