Can Anybody help (sure they can as its probably a simple question).. Have seen a cheep double din head unit, just as a replacement for a knackerd standard early jap spec unit, until i get some money to sort a decent build,
as i have just bought the car and i am skint at the moment! and was wondering, will it get the normal stations?

Think the dealer is in Hong Kong

There description is am/fm recever..
Spec is
VHF-L: 48.25MHZ~170.75MHZ
VHF-H: 170.00MHZ~450.00MHZ
UHF: 450.00MHZ~863.25MHZ

I am normaly ok with audio stuff such as installing myself etc but have never thought of the radio bands structure before as I have normaly brought from a uk dealer and haven'ht ever thought of it!

as i said probably a stupid question to anyone who knows anything about audio!!

Normal UK VHF FM is around 88 - 108 Mhz so the first band looks like it'll be OK
The other 2 are PMR/Amateur/TV/Mobile phone bands, sometimes interesting to listen to, but not really cruising music :D

Cheers Geoff, great help..
Thought it was something like that but not to sure, safe than sorry and all that..
As i said just got the motor and the jap spec radio is doing my head in already and didn't want to shell out and end up listening to the same station,,

The unit i am looking at seems to have everything inc touchscreen, tv, dvd,,,, all for around 350 notes.. may be complete rubish (or may not?!?!) but will do me until my bank manager doesn't hide under the desk when i walk in..

I've seen the same systems for sale on UK ebay for about 350 notes (or around that!)
