I think it was over £14K? may be £17K.....it did go quickly that's for sure.

Wez price aside was it a worthy/good car, it looked it?

If it is indeed the same car its been a long time since I have seen it, I know the original owner and this was long before I owned my first Supra, was very well maintained and was only used to pop to the shops and back. I did offer to buy it but I believe it ended up going to auction.

Despite the attitude of the dealership in question I've always said that the cars they get are sourced from uk private owners and hence whilst perhaps there is dubious sales/aftersales service the cars themselves are a mix of the cared and uncared for so not all their cars should be avoided. Never going to get a bargain that's all.

Well a lot of these certain dealers were in trouble for cut and shuts, not actually having cars for sale etc etc.... That in my book makes them a write off and never to buy or sell cars too.

Look, I think their blatant slagging of forums and other importers is laughable and I see your point but in a world of shrinking supply that UK car was a good sound car and worth putting up with an hour with any trader. They probably had it a few weeks, cleaned, road tested and sold it, doesn't make it car worth avoiding.

I don't think I've ever heard of anyone on here having a cut and shut from any source? (tbh its the sort of comment that can get the forum into strife and threads deleted) some bad after sales and poor response to criticism for sure but they just buy in, clean up and sell out so along the way (ie when they buy a less than great example) some people go on to get poor value for money.

I think people should be very wary of buying cars from certain areas which have a reputation. Just for clarification the cars were an evo and an rx7. It seems both threads have been deleted from their respective forums, probably due to threatening of legal action even though there was photo evidence with is wrong if you ask me...

Anyway for the best interests of the club I won't mention any more about these dealers.

In terms of private sales however there are very little available. It wouldn't surprise me if the values skyrocket in the next few years.

I keep thinking it's getting ludicrous and they won't but then you see a same era £25K Escort Cosworth and think why not!?

The thing is few sell in a rising market so it further stifles supply and potentially they just climb further, it's all speculation but it'll be interesting to see how it pans out.
