Sideskirts Question

I just wanted a few questions cleared up on the Toyota sideskirts you get on some Supes.

1) How do you tell if they're original? Is there a stamp on there somewhere?

2) Are the originals by (or made of) OEM?

3) What does OEM stand for? :)

4) What are the originals made of? I've heard plastic, anything more specific?

5) What alternatives are there? I've heard of fibreglass, and poly-urethane.

Just a few questions he says!! Any info would be appreciated

1) Plastic flex's easily...fibreglass doesn't. The back of the plastic original ones will be smooth, but the fibreglass copies are likely to show fibre material.

2) Originals are plastic (ABS I think)

3) The only mass produced options are fibreglass other than the original plastic ones...however Stillen make a set of urethane ones which is even better at taking a hit.

I've just been down to check them out, but I can't get underneath to the back to check the colour or whether there's fibreglass poking out.

They're connected to some sort of undertray 'thingymagiggy' so I can't feel if they're smooth or not.

When I've got more time, I'll park on a kerb or something so I can get under there.

Good news is they flex fine, so hopefully they're OEM!
