Price of UK big brake upgrade?

Hello all

What is the current going rate of a bbk upgrade with uk spec brakes front and rear?

Complete calipers only.

Reason I'm asking is that I'm looking to upgrade my j spec but here in south Africa I have to order from the dealer and wait about 5 months. If I can order the calipers from abroad and have it shipped that would be better.

I don't mind used calipers of any brand but they don't come up for sale in a hurry.

Any help appreciated.thanks.

Zaheer

On a semi related note, I currently have UK fronts and rears, could do with new discs, any ideas where I can get my hands on some or do I just need to find any that match the default UK dimensions?

In terms of value for money, quality, performance and longevity the stock OEM discs are hard to beat, part numbers HERE

I would avoid any cheap drilled or grooved aftermarket discs as they can be prone to cracking/warping.

Get a price off Steve Manley then see if your nearest Toyota dealer will match it

The porsche brembo is a 4 piston.includes pads and discs.

The amg brembo is a 6 piston.includes pads and discs.

Total for both is r15000 or about 500 pound. I would still need to make up brackets and lines. If I don't come right with the oem calipers I might consider these.

As long as you have the calipers, the difference in price between small and large brakes is trivial. I wasn't including calipers if that's what you thought.

I thought it was a bloody good price so jumped right at the opportunity.

Ah sorry mate thought you mean full set up, still a very good price though.
