Dim Sum
Another +1 for the Greddy Profec OLED. Im using its simple and clear, there's also alot of extra's which you can play around with.
Josh42
Also using one. I don't have a separate boost gauge anymore as I just use the controller. Excellent display and easy to use even for someone as ham fisted as myself.

Dim Sum
This or a greddy emanage? http://www.greddy.com/products/electronics/profec/ Its a boost controller, not a ECU
JasonR24
http://www.greddy.com/products/electronics/profec/ Its a boost controller, not a ECU Yea I know but I was thinking go with a boost controller or the emanage as that can control boost too and it's the same price? Or is that a bad comparison? Edited January 28, 2016 by JasonR24 (see edit history)
berg
Emanage wont control boost Its a piggy back ecu, fuel/ignition controller basically

inazone
I have one too! Very pleased with it. Set it up with basic settings and off it goes. I suspect I'm not using the full facilities, such as scramble boost.... Wtf?
j_jza80
Scramble is a temporarily raised boost limit. I think its for 10 seconds out of the box.

berg
Just a quick bump as im fitting mine tomorrow Does anyone have any rough idea on what the settings should be for a BPU car to run 1.2bar? I havent read the instructions fully but i see a few different values that need setting up, i thought i could literally just select the boost i want and that was it, seems a bit more complicated than that It might just save me hours of fiddling
supra_ufo
20% SET was 1.2 BAR on my car mate, I would just turn gain up and go up in 10% at a time. I couldnt test it further Edited April 5, 2016 by supra_ufo (see edit history)
ashloys
Mine needs set up properly too, although I only have the Profec B Spec II. Any pictures of where you guys have mounted yours?

supra_ufo
What was your start and peak set to? The only thing I remember changing is just the gain, I left everything else at
j_jza80
The only thing I remember changing is just the gain, I left everything else at 0 That's not the way to do it The start and then the set are how you adjust the boost level, gain is to improve response. Having the gain set at a disproportionately high level to the set may result in boost spikes. You can make the display show you the boost curve, that is much more useful in setting the levels than just looking at the peak figure
supra_ufo
I need to check my car again to be sure, disregard what i said Berg, ill confirm in a few days once I got my battery in. *Edit*It was the SET i changed.
Chris Wilson
there's also a lot of extra's which you can play around with. Ohhh deaaaar! Is that good? Even the basic electronic boost controllers can be a PITA to make work properly with sequential turbos...
