Hi

Unfortunately it has been confirmed today that my role is "at risk" and no longer exists in the new structure after 9 years with the company. Whilst I will be entitled to a healthy redundancy package, I have just taken delivery of my new BMW 335 Touring under contract and therefore I cannot justify keeping the Supra at this unsettling time with a young family to care for.

I purchased the car only in October 2015 off a member from here who owned it for 15 years! He bought it from Toyota and I have the old warranty, service book etc and confirmation slips.

The car has now covered just over 90,000 miles.

The car went to SRD in October 2015 for a lot of work and full servicing (at a cost of £4K with new suspension) bringing her up to a near new standard. This included:

New HKS HyperMax IV Suspension

Brand New OEM Fuel and Brake Lines

New Toyota Timing Pulley, Toyota Belt Idler and Gates Kevlar Racing Belt

New PHR Idler Pulley

New Walbro 485 Pump & Fuel Setup

DEI T4 Titanium Heat Shield Turbo Blanket & DEI Titanium Exhaust Wrap for Downpipe

Looking for £19k for what is a near pristine 6 speed UK Manual Single Turbo with a fully built engine. The U.K. Specs especially in manual form are getting extremely rare now, I actually bought this as an investment. I believe there are only 3 UK Spec Silver Manual Cars left, certainly logged on here anyway. Prices are only going one way, especially for home grown UK Supra's.

Photos to follow but please see here for links and more details.

Please PM me in the first instance and I'll come back to you.

Love this car. Does is still have the piston slap?

Let's not go through this debacle again like the other thread! Lee @ SRD checked it over and all is absolutely fine. Compression test was great and honestly you can hardly tell it's a built engine. A little piston slap with oversized Pistons is entirely normal and I strongly suggest and urge people to read through the threads and more about piston slap in general before being put off by this comment. Happy to also get videos up too.

Here is a link to a cold startup I've just recorded.

Owwwwww maayynnnnn, no more car meets :( Really sorry to hear this mate.

For anyone considering buying this, I've been out in it and seen it in the flesh and it's absolutely mint, beautiful condition with a gorgeous looking engine bay and it goes like stink :)

Sorry to hear this has to happen mate, but GLWTS.

Seeing as a stock UK spec manual in this condition with this mileage would probably be worth £15k - £17k, this seems way to cheap, especially considering some of the parts fitted (the CCW's and Syvecs especially)

Personally, I'd either stick the price up another £2k, or at least fit some different wheels and sell the CCW's separately. I suppose the only issue is that there are quite a few nice singles for sale at the moment.

GLWS.

Thanks all, most appreciate the kind words.

The car is stunning and completely Stock on the outside except the Whifbitz Front Lip. I've just repainted all of the U.K. Brakes. The car doesn't need or want anything else. She is 100% ready to go.

I am only gauging interest at present and will also do so on the wheels in a separate for sale thread here:

Thanks

Greg

There is no issues with the engine.

The previous owner mentioned the noise on the last for sale thread but it's perfectly normal for these aftermarket pistons.

Compression test is perfect and no smoke at all. Very strong engine

Thanks again guys. I'm still in two minds about doing it but I have to cover my back in case the worst happens and I don't land a job end of March. Please note for prospective buyers, this is only provisionally for sale. I won't be able to accept any deposit until February.

Hmmm, wanted this the first time around when Lee advertised it! ;)

Wonder if I can find a buyer for my IS-F?! :search:

Sorry to hear your having to sell it Greg. Looks like you've made it even better in your brief ownership!

Great car at a great price IMHO.

Really hope it finds a loving home. Don't sell the wheels!! They so make this car. ;)

Cheers.

Peter :)

Well done on the sale, great looking car and clearly had money lavished on it!

I must say, I don't know where people get off on posting negative comments about a car when you're trying to sell it (piston slap). Keep your nose out if you've got nothing positive to add I say!
