Wheel fitment

I'm looking to buy a set of wheels and need some help to understand if they would fit ok and if they would also sit ok on the car.

I have a jap spec twin turbo ( standard setup ) and I'm looking to get a set of wheels with the following spec

18s

Front, 8J - 35 offset

Rear 9J - 40 offset

If anyone has any photo examples with the same offset that they could attach to the thread it would be much appreciated. If not I would really appreciate any guidance.

This is a pic of my car fitted with 18x9 +32 245/40R18 and 18x10+32 285/35R18, the wheels sit almost flush with the stock wheel arches, the arches needed slightly rolling so the tyres wouldn't catch. More pics in my garage HERE

In comparison the outer rim of the wheels you are considering would sit 16mm further inwards at the front and the rears would sit 20mm further inwards.

If you have the larger 4pot/2pot Supra brakes fitted you will also need to determine if the wheels will clear the brake calipers ie. if there is enough space between the front face of the calipers and the rear face of the wheel spokes. This will largely depend on the design of the wheels.

That supra looks spot on Nic - lovely stance!

I think its a case that the wheels I've found have the right fitment but are just not set up for the supra which is a shame :(

Guess I will maybe look to keep the Veilsides.

I haven't actually test fitted them on the car yet but would the 9J + 41 and 10 + +48 offset sit alrite? ( Jspec brakes all round - booo )

You'll probably find pics on here or on Goggle of Supras with Veilside Andrews wheels fitted.

Again in comparison to mine, the fronts would sit further inwards by 9mm and the rears 16mm inwards.

If you use my wheel widths and offsets as a starting point, you can use an online offset calculator to compare other wheels.
