coolant query.

Ok very brief question.

I'm just changing the rad and overflow tank, and the water pump will be getting later next month. Am I wasting money putting new coolant in for the sake of a month. Could I just put water in for now, it wont be getting driven in freezing temps etc. Don't want to be causing corrosion etc in the new rad even if it is only for a month.

Is it safe? If so I will save my new coolant I have for when the water pump is done.
