For sale (still) I have my mum's 2008 Nissan Micra Visia as she has bought a new car. It has 58,700 miles on the clock and has been well looked after mechanically and cosmetically. It has only had one owner since new in 2008. It is a 3 door, 5-speed manual with a 1.25l engine - very cheap to run and maintain. It drives perfectly without any faults and everything on the car works as it should. It has always been kept clean and tidy and therefore there is almost no damage inside or out.

This car is ideal for a new driver as it is cheap to insure and tax as well as being very efficient on petrol. Being a small 3 door hatchback it's very nimble and easy to park, so city driving is no concern. It's also surprisingly spacious inside the cabin with room for 5 adults.

It comes with a full years MOT (expires July 2016) as well as 2 sets of keys and the full service history. If you have any inquiries please feel free to contact me.

PRICE: £2500 n/o

Just mentioned this to my other half again, as her jazz now has a gearbox whine.

Whats the service history like? Also what advisories if any did it have on the last MOT?

At the moment it seems my mums misplaced the majority of the service history, leaving me with 1 MOT certificate from 2013-2014 and various service/MOT invoices from her mechanic. I'm trying my hardest to find the rest of the service history/MOT certificates. As I recall, the only advisory was a small oil leak from the bottom of the engine - I imagine a seal or similar.

I know it's not what you or your Mum wants to hear mate but the guide price on this car is around £1500 in good condition. The low miles will go a long way to promoting the car but it won't make THAT much of a difference to the price unfortunately.

As you say, it's an ideal car for someone recently taking up driving. Best of luck with the sale, hope you get what you are after :)

Not sure I agree with that, see average prices here (not that it proves much about the true value)

Thanks for the input though. I asked her what she wanted for it knowing she was being very optimistic, it's me who's told her it's very unlikely to sell for that much.
