Ok people I know a lot of people wanted to change their car aerials for smaller better looking units.

Here is a good setup!

Just my opinion, but I prefer the snow to the aerial.

I think the Mercedes stubby aerials look nicer. That one looks a little bit plasticy

Like these. Do they go up and down or are these different aerials.

If a trader was prepared to do a group buy I'm sure loads of us would be interested.

The cost of the Mercedes units are £50.16 (£19.51 for the antenna + £30.65 for the base). The base unit doesnt come with an aerial flylead and has a screw in type connection...so some "jiggery pokery" will be required. They will give a 7.5% discount for 5 units, if there is a lot of interest he will work out a discount based on the total numbers. I have a faxed piccie of the parts catalogue, but coz Im at work atm I'll scan and post tonight when I get in.

I bought one similar to this off of ebay (the german one). Looks good, but I may as well have stuck a black crayon on there for all the signal it gives!

Depending on how much work is required to get these to fit I'd be interested as I miss listening to the radio in the Supe.

I recall someone saying that the merc ones will need a 'phantom' power supply, if that's the correct term. Think it may have been MattH, and he would know. Also, has anyone had experience of the the built in aerial in the rear screen, whats the reception like ?

Cheers dudes, I would definitely be interested in the merc ones though.

I've had my car "shaved" so I don't want one... but if I did, I'd go with the Mercedes one. Glad I mentioned it now. :p
