Show me your seats!

Ok so my j-spec cloth seats are gone, and I've bought some of the rails from John on here ready for some new seats.

I'm just struggling to decide what to go for.

My budget is about £200 and I've been looking at some Gen7 Celica seats as well as some RX8 ones, both of which I really like.

What have people fitted to theirs that are slightly different to the norm?

But I also have to say that now every time I sit in the wife's supra with stock seats I always think how nice they feel.

Many seats look trendier than stock cloth J speckers, but few are comfier.

Reclining is a must, but it's not going to be used all the time so how they look is pretty important to me.

They look very nice mate.

Saw a pair of S2000s in a supra, looked very nice indeed. Think they're on ebay for the £300 mark

Would RX8 seats fit? From memory the bases are pretty thick. For your budget, Gen7 seats are the best bet imo. Or a leftfield choice would be some seats from a Honda Prelude, IF you can find them in decent condition.

There's a post on here I found last night regarding the rx8 seats, fit pretty nicely. Will find it later.

Gen7s definitely seem the most cost effective, found a few for under £100 in reasonable condition!

I doubt you'll get decent Evo 7 seats for £200 though. Even slightly tatty Evo 3 Recaros are around that price.

Nope, was a recaro sticker on bottom said Evo 6 (or 7)

The accord seem to have a green look to them.

They're Recaro Trendline seats, they also do a model called topline that has loads of electrics etc. They are the same seats as mine, except mine are Renaultsport ones in leather/alcantara.

I've only ever seen the Evo ones in Blue or Red, so that's a new one on me. the red ones also came in some late EP Civic R's.

Yeah I've seen the red ones, they're a bit much for more though. I was looking at the Toplines new but budget constraints nipped that one in the bud!

The Accord Type R ones can be had for not a lot more than your budget. In fact, I would be tempted to part with the drivers seat I have here. It has a few issues, but the trims in pretty good condition and I wouldn't want a lot for it

Do yourself a favour and get some OEM covers to your specs from Interior innovations. Ive sat in a lot of cars but the OEMs are the business.
